MICROLAX ENEMA (SOLD IN UNITS)

€1,15

Whilst constipation is a common condition, the symptoms of it can upset your day. Additional symptoms can include stomach ache and cramps, bloating, feeling sick and a loss of appetite. Therefore, you may want to relieve your constipation early so you can try and avoid the uncomfortable symptoms. It is also important to try and find out the reason for your constipation.

If lifestyle changes haven’t helped to relieve your constipation, you may want to look at other treatments or ways for temporary relief, such as microenemas. Microenemas are inserted into the rectum which can help to relieve temporary constipation locally, offering you predictable relief.

Your Step-by-Step Guide to Using MICROLAX ®:

  1. Twist the seal of the nozzle.
  2. Squeeze the tube slightly so that a drop of MICROLAX® smears the tip and thus makes insertion easier.
  3. Insert the nozzle fully into the rectum. N.B. In children under 3 years of age, insert only half the length of the nozzle (see indication on the nozzle).
  4. Squeeze out the contents fully by squeezing the shoulder of the tube.
  5. Withdraw the nozzle still squeezing tightly.

Adults and children: The contents of one enema shall be applied rectally. The nozzle point shall be inserted in its full length. In children below 3 years of age, the nozzle point shall be inserted to only approximately half of its length (see the marking on the nozzle point).
Effect is usually obtained within 5-15 minutes.
