Microlax Rectal Solution contains Sodium Citrate 450mg/5ml and Sodium Lauryl Sulphoacetate 45mg/5ml. It is an laxative  used to empty the large bowel when constipated, or prior to surgical and diagnostic procedures or in obstetrics prior to delivery. The enema acts as a laxative by softening the stools and acts as a lubricant. 

Childen under 3: Insert only half the length of the nozzle and the contents of one enema into the rear passage.

Adults and Children over 3: Insert the contents of the enema into the back passage
