SALATAC GEL
Salatac Gel is useful in the treatment of warts, veruccas, corns and calluses. It contains salicylic acid 12% w/w, lactic acid 4.0% w/w.
Warts and veruccas are small excessive growths on the skin caused by a type of virus. A wart has a cauliflower-like appearance on a raised surface. A verucca is only on the sole of the foor, flatter in appearance and often might look like a white ring of skin with a black dot in the centre or it may be covered by callous skin.
Corns and calluses are thick pads of skin caused by pressure and friction. Usually on the feet or hands.
The active ingredients work to soften the hard skin, so it is easier to remove with an emery board. They also help kill the virus that causes warts and veruccas.
Safe for use in pregnancy and breast feeding.
To Use:
Soak the area for 2-3 minutes in warm water to soften the skin.
Dry the area thoroughly using your own towel.
Apply 1-2 drops of the gel onto the wart, verruca, corn or callus. Allow it to dry, to a white patch, that sticks to the treated area.
The next evening, peel off the white patch and re-apply the gel and leave it to dry.
Once a week, rub the area with the emery board provided to remove the dead skin cells.
Follow the instruction on the pack carefully. Do not get into your eyes and avoid any unaffected skin.
